If you can’t tell already… I’m not like the other parents on the playground. I come straight from work, usually with my heels digging into the wood chips and my Supermom shirt tucked into my pencil skirt (just kidding, I usually wear that UNDER my button-down).
For those of you that give me the side-eye, sorry, I’m a working mom…and I’ll be damned if I let getting home late affect my baby’s play-date.
The problem with this is I can’t play “free the princess” (also known as tag in my daughter’s lingo) while I’m rocking my 3-4 inchers. I could easily run home and get changed, but that takes about 45 minutes off of playtime that will be a disaster in my kid’s eyes. What’s a (stylish-young and oh-so-amazingly cool) mom to do? If you know me… you already know I’m all about the fashion inspiration!
Here are a few sample ensembles I spied other like-minded-mamas rockin by the swings (courtesy of Polyvore for the mock-ups)!
I’m guessing the key is: If you’re going to wear heels, be sure to rock the lower heights or a wedge. This is a learning curve for me too! As always, please feel free to leave your suggestions

I’m not one for a full wardrobe change, but I will don a pair of non-rubber flip-flops or seasonally appropriate flats when trasitioning to family time after work. That way I haven’t compromised style, comfort or safety (I do not recommend chasing an active tot in high heels-lol).
